It was a pleasure to host a middle school from Kuruman in Cape Town for an educational experience. The group decided to travel through the night with 2 drivers per vehicle, to bring 20 students and 8 teachers on tour.

Day 1:  Leave school early evening and travel through the night to Cape Town.

Day 2: Stop for breakfast before heading into the city of Cape Town to meet your guide at the Castle of Good Hope tracing the first nations meeting the Dutch at the Cape and the history that follows. Lunch at the Eastern Bazaar for a new experience of Cape Malay cuisine. Head up Table Mountain with the cable car taking you to 1067m above sea level. Next check into accommodation before visiting the V&A Waterfront for a ride on the Cape Wheel followed by supper.

Day 3: The Peninsula Tour starts tracing the Atlantic Seaboard through Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay to Hout Bay. It continues along Chapman’s Peak Drive all the way to the southern part of the peninsula into Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Be photographed standing at the most sw tip of the African continent and walk up to the lighthouse to look back over the peninsula. Lunch next followed by a visit to Boulders Beach to see the endangered African Penguin. Last activity is a swim in the Atlantic Ocean before supper at a seafood restaurant.

Day 4: Morning ferry ride across Table Bay to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela and Robert Sobukwe were incarcerated. There is a guided tour of the island and prison before returning by ferry to the main land.  Time for some last minute shopping at V&A Waterfront followed by a scrumptious meal before starting the overnight journey back to school in Northern Cape.

Day 5: Arrive back at school early morning.
