Review

All Africa Tours did a wonderful job of organizing a very exciting tour for our girls. We had a wonderful time and we went to many interesting places. Julie was phenomenal with the girls, and I loved her enthusiasm. She is extremely well organized and everything went ahead without any glitches.

Featured: Cape Town Grade 6 & 7 Tour

Cape Town, ‘The Mother City’, and also the ‘Gateway to Africa’, was originally known as the ‘Cape of Storms’ by passing sailors, but was later renamed ‘The Fairest Cape – The Cape of Good Hope’.

Come see Cape Town from another dimension: to learn about the deplorable past, but exciting future. The history and culture of Cape Town is diverse. It is also home of the Cape Floral Kingdom, the richest plant kingdom in the world.

Itinerary for Gr 6 + 7 Tour:

History of CT

Pick up at CT International airport , start where it all began – Castle of Good Hope, lunch, then onto District Six Museum and finish off with the Malay Quarters and the Bokaap Museum. Go to accommodation to drop off luggage (time permitting) then up Table Mountain with the cable car to view the whole peninsula (weather permitting) Waterfront for supper at the Spur and wander round the shops, back to hotel.

Peninsula tour of Cape Town

Visit Groot Constantia Manor House for traditional Cape Dutch architecture, have a cellar tour to see how wine is made, onto Just Nuisance Museum to see how a dog is part of SA’s naval history, Boulders Beach to view the SA penguin colony, see baboons en route to Cape Point Nature Reserve, climb to the top to the most sw point of SA, and end later at 4th beach Clifton for late afternoon frisbee throwing and a sunset picnic. On the way back to the hotel, go up Signal Hill to view Green Point stadium and lights of Cape Town. Back to accommodation.

Day trip to Hermanus for whale watching

First stop Harold Porter Botanical Gardens in Betty’s Bay for a look at fynbos and a hike up Leopards’ Kloof to see amazing waterfalls and ecosystems, then onto Hermanus for lunch at the Wimpy, whale watching, education on whales at the Whale Museum including a slide show, walk around this quaint fishing town and leave late afternoon to be back in CT and hotel for a lovely, traditional Cape Malay dinner. Earlier evening for chilling, some TV and gossip.

Animals galore

History and future
